ThinkEasy NYC Launches Summer Education Series with Full House, and...

(PRWEB) June 11, 2011

The warmest day of the year so far marked the opening of a new public education space in Brooklyn, NY. The name 'ThinkEasy' came about as much from the content of the education, as the atmosphere in the space itself. A former artists studio, this unique space provided the backdrop to a extremely successful first event, entitled 'Meet Your Mind'.

The speaker behind 'Meet Your Mind' is Nathan Ellis, a holistic psychotherapist specializing in Cognitive - Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Meditation and Brain Nutrition. The concept of the talk was to introduce techniques successful in mental health treatment to the wider population by simply acknowledging these techniques as essential human tools.

Using the teachings inherent in Cognitive-Behavioral Psychology, the evening introduced practical tools for managing troubling thought cycles, emotions and behaviors, and addressed the psychology of human motivation and interpersonal relations with implications for every aspect of daily living.

Using presentation, specific case histories and impromptu audience examples, Nathan walked the audience through the process our minds go though between stimulus and human response, focusing on how the immediate landscape of conscious and unconscious thoughts drive our emotions, which in turn drive our behaviors and decisions.

The standing-room-only audience was fully engaged by the combination of Nathan's authentic sincerity and personal conviction to reducing unnecessary suffering in the world. Nathan's style is refreshingly down to earth, which only encouraged the relevance and accessibility of this fundamental subject matter, ranging from neuroscience and cultural philosophy, to self-determination and practical psychotherapy.

Due to the sold out nature of the event, along with the positive response from the audience, ThinkEasy NYC has decided to host Nathan's next event, which will take place on Wednesday, June 29th at 7pm.

Nathan Ellis is in private practice in Brooklyn, NY, offering in person and Skype appointments. To find out more about his work, you can visit http://www.nathan-ellis.info.

On Wednesday, July 6th, the speaker at the ThinkEasy will be Jean Menges, Licensed Acupuncturist, who will be sharing her passion for Neuro-Emotional Technique and 3E acupuncture.

ThinkEasy NYC is a new education and personal development center located on the shores of the East River in Brooklyn, NY. Wednesday, June 1st saw the first public education event called 'Meet Your Mind' and was a sold out success.
